Established in 1945, Instytut Spawalnictwa (since 1st April 2019 Sieć Badawcza Łukasiewicz - Instytut Spawalnictwa) is a leading and key welding research and development organisation in Poland. In its long-standing activity Łukasiewicz - Instytut Spawalnictwa has been solving problems in welding technology, coordinated numerous R&D projects and strengthened close links with the Polish industry and foreign centres.
Łukasiewicz - Instytut Spawalnictwa conducts research works devoted to weldability of metals and welded structures. Structural, mechanical and non-destructive testing, stress analysis and fatigue testing is performed in order to provide assistance for designers and producers of welding consumables and structures.
